Following a positive consultation of FE Colleges and the entire CoS UK network during spring 2021, CoS UK has decided to move ahead with an accreditation fee for FE Colleges who receive a sanctuary award. The fee has been set at £150 per year of the award’s validity – £450 over the three-year lifespan of an award.
The accreditation fee will apply to all FE Colleges applying for a sanctuary award after 15 October 2021.
The fees raised from the accreditation fee will contribute to:
- securing additional capacity for the programme coordination of the growing Colleges stream.
- maintaining the FE Colleges website,
- updating and sharing case studies and regular communications to current and prospective FE Colleges of Sanctuary via monthly newsletters
- furthering our key partnerships within the FE sector including with the Association of Colleges, and the College Development Network in Scotland and Refugee Education UK.
In situations where difficulties arise because of the fee, a FE College can contact CoS UK to discuss adjustment. Each request of this kind will be assessed on its own merits by the FE College Sanctuary Steering Group.
